CREAMY MAYO MACARONI


Creamy mayo macaroni is made using fresh veggies, mayonnaise, herbs, chili flakes and tomato ketchup which gives it a creamy texture and tangy taste. 

I usually want something nice and tasty for breakfast or when I'm hungry, easy to make snack. This macaroni is perfect at such times. You don't have to spend more time making sauce and probably your not hungry by the time it's done right!!! 



In this recipe you can use any number of veggies u want like, carrot, bell pepper, baby corn etc. or any type of mayonnaise. Home made, any flavor or just the classic mayonnaise, it's your choice. It's not a spicy dish, so if you have kids, they are gonna love it πŸ˜‹(My kid does). The use of mixed herbs will give this macaroni an added flavor which you will absolutely love. When the macaroni is ready, you will have a delicious looking meal which tastes even more delicious than it looks!!!

GULAB JAMUN




Gulab jamun is made with khoya and soaked in sugar syrup which makes it a sweet and juicy dessert. Perfect for all occasions or even for normal days for people with a sweet tooth. 

This dessert is personally my favorite but I didn't know to make it, until I got married. I learnt it from my in laws. I used to think it's a very complicated dessert but it's so not true. Anyone can make it but you need to follow the steps and measurement correctly.

As the name suggests gulab, rose water or essence is added to the sugar syrup and jamun is made with khoya or it can even be made with jamun mix which is available in any grocery store. In this recipe I have made jamun using jamun mix , khoya and little maida(all purpose flour). For making this, the dough should be knead well with warm milk. If the dough is hard, you won't get soft balls. Making syrup is also important. You need to get the right consistency of syrup.

SPICY AND TANGY TOMATO CHUTNEY




Spicy and tangy tomato chutney cooked with fresh tomatoes and garnished with fresh coriander.

Today is one of the days I didn't feel like spending too much time in kitchen yet wanted to have some tangy. So I thought why not tomato chutney!!


This is one of the recipes I've been having since I was a kid. My Phuppu(my dad's sis) used to prepare this for me n my sis. We used to just love to have it with roti or rice. It would just make our day. I learnt this recipe from her but I have done a few variations to it. You can make a few variations according to your taste, a little more spicy or a little less spicy. It's your choice. So here is my variation.


It is best if you used sour tomatoes, it gives a tangy flavor to the chutney. I couldn't find one so I used what I had. Roast the tomatoes before chopping it on medium to high flame, so that the skins is easy to peel. If you don't want to peel the skin, it's totally fine. The recipe is so easy that within 2-3 steps it's complete and then you can have your free time. Voila!!!

CABBAGE KI SABZI


Healthy, easy and tasty side dish made with only a few dry spices and cooked with tomatoes. Its perfect to have with roti or as a side dish with rice. 

Yet another simple and quick recipe for those who don't want to spend more time in kitchen but still want something yummy.



Cabbage is packed with nutrients. It is rich in vitamins and minerals. it also improves digestion. These are a few I have mentioned but there are many other benefits too. People who don't like to eat raw or boiled cabbage(like meπŸ˜›), this recipe is perfect for them. It's not made with heavy masala and is not bland either.


AMMI'S MUTTON CURRY




This mutton curry is prepared with basic Indian spices, mint leaves, coconut paste and garnished with coriander leaves which gives it a wonderful flavor. It tastes best with steamed rice or ghee rice.


I guess the name says it all!! This is one of the curries that I, learnt from my mom and she learnt from her mom. This recipe is passed on to generations. This recipe is easy and finger licking good. Even now when my mom makes the curry, the entire house is filled with a "yummy" fragrance.
